AI Content Gap
Short answer
Compares your URL against up to 3 competitors using semantic similarity + keyword diff. Surfaces topics competitors cover that you don't.
What It Does
Compares your page with up to three competitor pages. It measures how close the pages are in meaning, then lists words each competitor page uses at least three times that your page never mentions, and key phrases from the competitor pages that your page lacks. Words used by more competitors come first.
Why It Matters
Competing pages often cover subtopics that yours leaves out. The words and phrases they repeat, and you never use, are a quick way to spot those gaps. Not every gap deserves a section: skip terms that do not fit your readers, and expect some noise from text a page repeats outside its menus and footer.
How It Works
-
Enter your page URL and up to three competitor URLs, one per line
-
We fetch all the pages; a competitor page that does not load is skipped and listed
-
We take each page's main text (menus, headers, footers and sidebars left out), compare the meaning of its first 4,000 characters, and compare the words used across the whole of it
-
Return the mean similarity, the recommended topics and the recommended phrases

Frequently Asked Questions
How is similarity measured?
The opening text of each page is turned into a numeric representation of its meaning by a multilingual embedding model, and the pages are compared with cosine similarity. 0.7 or more means closely aligned, 0.4 to 0.7 partly aligned and below 0.4 different.
Does it store my pages?
No. The pages and their numeric representations are used for this run only. The result is cached for an hour, so repeating the same comparison returns quickly.
Can I compare more than three competitors?
Three is the limit per run. For more, run the tool again with the next group of competitors.
Does it work for pages that are not in English?
Yes. The meaning comparison is multilingual, and the word lists use the stop words of your page's language when its lang attribute is English, Greek, German, French, Spanish or Italian.
What if a competitor page cannot be loaded?
It is skipped and listed with the reason, and the comparison runs with the pages that did load. If none of the competitor pages loads, the run stops with an error.
