Privacy Policy
RankProof ("we", "us") provides free SEO, AI-search and accessibility tools. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we process when you use rankproof.eu, why, and the choices you have, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the ePrivacy rules on cookies.
Data Controller #
The data controller responsible for processing your personal data is RankProof, operated from Greece (European Union). For data protection inquiries, reach us through our contact form.
Data We Collect #
We do not offer user accounts. When you use the site we process: the URLs, text and keywords you submit to a tool or audit; your IP address, used to apply the daily fair-use limits and to protect the service from abuse; standard technical data your browser sends (browser type, language, referring page); and, if you use the contact form, your name, email address, message and the result of an automated check that tells humans from bots, run for us by a security provider. A first-party preference cookie remembers the language you chose. With your consent, advertising and analytics partners also process cookie identifiers and device data, as described below. Giving us data is voluntary: you can read the whole site without submitting anything, but a tool cannot run without the address or text it is meant to analyse. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data and we do not buy personal data from anyone.
How We Use Your Data #
We use this data to run the tools and audits you ask for and to deliver the pages you request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, the service you asked us to perform); to apply fair-use limits, to tell a real visitor from an automated one and to keep the site secure (Article 6(1)(f), our legitimate interest in a service that stays free and available); to reply to a message you send us (Article 6(1)(f), our legitimate interest in answering you); to measure how the site is used and to show the advertising that keeps RankProof free (Article 6(1)(a), your consent, wherever cookies or personalised advertising are involved); and to meet legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)). We do not use your data to train models and we do not sell it.
Advertising #
RankProof is free because it shows ads. Ads are served by Google and its advertising partners. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland we ask for your consent through a Google-certified consent tool (IAB Transparency & Consent Framework); if you do not consent, Google may show non-personalised or limited ads. Where this involves processing outside the EEA, the transfer is covered by a European Commission adequacy decision or by standard contractual clauses.

Analytics #
With your consent we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are viewed, the referring website, device type and approximate location. Google Analytics does not store your IP address, and without your consent the analytics tag is not loaded at all. Our hosting layer also gives us aggregate page-view statistics that use no cookies and identify nobody. Where analytics data is processed outside the EEA, the transfer is covered by an adequacy decision or by standard contractual clauses.
Data Retention #
Audit reports and their screenshots are deleted automatically after 7 days, and you can run up to 30 audits per IP address per day. The counters behind the fair-use limits expire within a day. Contact form messages are delivered to our mailbox and are not stored on the website. Technical logs of tool runs are deleted after 30 days. Analytics data is kept only for the limited period set in our analytics account, and advertising partners keep cookie data according to their own policies. There are no user accounts, so nothing is stored under a profile.
Your Rights #
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify or erase your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, to withdraw your consent at any time without affecting processing that already happened, and to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of your country or of the country where we are established. We do not take decisions about you by automated means that produce legal effects, and we build no profiles of our own. To exercise these rights, use the contact form linked below; because we hold no accounts, we may need enough detail to find the data you are asking about.
