These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the RankProof website and services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Acceptance of Terms #
By using RankProof, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our services. We may change these Terms at any time; the changed version applies from the moment it is published on this page, and the date above tells you when that was.
Description of Services #
RankProof provides free SEO analysis tools, keyword research, competitor comparison, content optimization, automated website accessibility scanning, assessment against the European Accessibility Act (Directive 2019/882) Annex I requirements, and educational guides and resources.
Who may use RankProof #
RankProof is built for people working on websites, and is intended for users aged 16 or over. There are no accounts, so we cannot verify anyone’s age; if you are younger, use RankProof only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. You may use the tools for your own work or on behalf of an organisation you are authorised to represent.
Acceptable use #
Everything here is free and needs no account, which only works if nobody abuses it. You must not: work around the daily fair-use limits, for example by automating requests or rotating addresses; use the tools against a site or system you neither own nor have permission to test; resell or rebrand access to the tools as your own service; or interfere with the site, its advertising or other visitors. We may limit, pause or block access that breaks these rules or puts the service at risk, without prior notice.
Addresses and content you submit #
When you submit a web address, a domain or a piece of text, you confirm that you are allowed to have it analysed and that the analysis infringes nobody’s rights. To produce a report we request the address you give us, and parts of it may be passed to third-party measurement services. You stay responsible for what you submit and for the decisions you take on the result; the reports themselves are yours to use, including commercially.
Availability #
RankProof is free, and we do not promise that it will be available, uninterrupted or error-free. Tools, checks and limits can change, be paused or be retired at any time, and a retired page answers with a clear status rather than disappearing silently. Daily fair-use limits per IP address keep the service free for everyone — reaching one is not a fault, and it resets the next day.
Advertising #
RankProof is free to use and is funded by the advertising shown on the site. Ads are selected and served by Google and its partners; we do not control or endorse the products and services they advertise, and any dealings with an advertiser are between you and that advertiser. You must not click ads, generate impressions or interfere with ad delivery by automated or artificial means.
Disclaimer #
RankProof tools and reports are provided "as is" without warranty. We do not guarantee specific search-engine rankings, AI-engine citation outcomes, or that automated audits cover every legal requirement applicable to your business. You remain responsible for verifying compliance with applicable regulations.
Limitation of Liability #
RankProof is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including any warranty that a scan finds every issue or that following our recommendations makes a site compliant. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Beyond that, and because the service is provided free of charge, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, for lost profit or lost data, or for fines, penalties or third-party claims arising from your use of the service or of its reports.
Compliance tools — no legal warranty #
RankProof’s accessibility audits and EAA reports are software tools for self-assessment. They are not legal advice and are not a regulatory certification or attestation. We do not warrant that using them results in compliance with Directive (EU) 2019/882 or with any national law implementing it. You are solely responsible for: (i) the accuracy and completeness of what you submit; (ii) reviewing every generated output; (iii) completing and keeping any accessibility statement, self-assessment or conformity documentation that the law applicable to your organisation requires; and (iv) keeping your site compliant after later changes. The limitation of liability in the previous section applies to these tools as well.
Intellectual Property #
The RankProof name, the content of this site, its software and its design belong to us or to our licensors and are protected by European and international intellectual property law. You may not copy, modify, distribute or reverse engineer the service itself without our prior written permission. Reading the site — including by search engines and AI agents, which our robots file explicitly welcomes — is not affected by this, and the reports you generate with the tools are yours to keep and use.
Governing Law #
These Terms are governed by Greek law, and disputes belong to the competent courts of Greece. If you use RankProof as a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.
Severability #
If any provision of these Terms turns out to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest stays in force, and the invalid provision is read as the closest valid one that keeps its purpose.
