Schema Markup Generator

Short answer

Create JSON-LD structured data for organizations, local businesses, products, events, articles, videos and more.

Free · No signup · Runs in your browser

Markup type

Tells search engines who runs the site. Google can use the logo and contact details in its results and knowledge panels. Put it on the home page or the about page.

A square or wide image of at least 112×112 pixels that is publicly reachable.

One per line: your profiles on social networks, directories or an encyclopedia.

Two-letter ISO code, e.g. DE, FR, GR.

Your JSON-LD

<script type="application/ld+json">
{
  "@context": "https://schema.org",
  "@type": "Organization"
}
</script>

Paste the code into the page's HTML, in the head or the body, and describe only what visitors can see on that page. Then check the live page: Open the structured data validator

Markup makes a page eligible for rich results; the search engine decides whether to show them. Google no longer shows FAQ or How-to results, so this generator does not offer them.

The markup is created in your browser.

What It Does

Builds JSON-LD structured data from a form for nine types: organization, local business (with opening hours), website name, breadcrumbs, article, product, event, software app and video. It marks the fields Google requires for each result, flags invalid URLs, dates, prices and ratings as you type, and gives you the code to copy or download.

Why It Matters

Structured data describes a page in a form search engines can read reliably. Google uses it for features such as product prices and ratings, event listings, video thumbnails, breadcrumbs and the site name, but only when the markup matches what visitors see and meets each feature's requirements. Google stopped showing How-to results in 2023 and FAQ results in May 2026, so markup for those no longer changes how a page appears in Google.

How It Works

  1. Pick the markup type

  2. Fill in the fields; the ones Google requires are marked with *

  3. Fix the warnings shown above the code

  4. Copy the script block into the page and check the live page with the structured data validator

Frequently Asked Questions

Which schema types does it support?

Organization, LocalBusiness (with several subtypes), WebSite, BreadcrumbList, Article (also BlogPosting and NewsArticle), Product, Event, SoftwareApplication (also WebApplication and MobileApplication) and VideoObject.

Why is there no FAQ or How-to markup?

Google stopped showing How-to results in 2023 and FAQ results on 7 May 2026. The markup no longer changes how a page looks in Google, so the generator leaves it out.

Does the markup guarantee a rich result?

No. It makes a page eligible. Google decides whether to show a rich result, and it ignores markup that does not match the visible content.

Where do I put the code?

Anywhere in the page's HTML, in the head or the body. If your CMS has a field for custom code in the head, use that.

Can I add ratings?

Yes, for products and apps. Mark up only ratings from real users that visitors can see on the same page; Google's review guidelines do not allow anything else.

Does it check the markup already on my site?

No, it only creates new markup. To check a live page, use the structured data validator.
